A bathroom as one volume,
no grout, no shower tray.

Walls, floor and walk-in shower in one surface. Waterproofing underneath, and a sealer on top that closes the structure and makes cleaning easy.

Watertightness is a system, not one layer

What makes a microcement bathroom last is the whole system: a prepared substrate, waterproofing in the wet area, two layers of microcement and the right protection. That is why we start by checking the substrate, the falls and the pipe penetrations.

No grout

No joints that darken and need cleaning. The surface stays uniform for a long time.

Walk-in shower

The floor runs into the shower without a step, with a linear or point drain.

Sure footing

In the shower we use a sealer with more grip.

How we do it

  1. 1

    Substrate and services

We check stability, falls and where the pipes come through.

  2. 2

    Waterproofing

Tapes in corners and at the drain, and a membrane across the wet area.

  3. 3

    Microcement

Two layers on walls and floor, with no joints in the corners.

  4. 4

    Protection

A sealer resistant to water and mild cleaners.

Questions and answers

Is microcement suitable for a shower?

Yes, if there is waterproofing underneath and the right sealer on top. Microcement alone, without the system, is not watertight.

Can it go over bathroom tiles?

Often yes, if the tiles are stable. We fill the joints and apply a bonding primer.

How do I clean a microcement bathroom?

With a mild, neutral cleaner and a soft cloth. Avoid acidic descalers and aggressive chemicals.
